199C: Scandals, Superstitions and Screwballs

  • BLDG 30 West Pike Street Covington, KY, 41011 United States

199C: Scandals, Superstitions & Screwballs is all about highlighting the maddening, momentous and memorable that surrounds baseball and all its glory. From what makes for hot headlines to the things that make players tick or break out of a slump, to painting our faces, bedazzling foam fingers or slamming back Cracker Jacks, the exhibition aims to satirize the mystique, the mischief, the heavy hitters and highly questionables of the timeless-yet-tainted love of American’s greatest pastime.

About 199C
BLDG Gallery’s fourth annual 199C is a collaborative art exhibition and block party celebrating two great achievements: Baseball and the Cincinnati Reds. There are few places on earth where a sport and a team are so beloved by a community. A throw-back to the Pantone color for red, 199C celebrates this unique atmosphere with creative experiences designed to engage and inspire audiences from the Queen City and beyond.
